The deschooling workshop for parents
This two-hour online session will provide you with the tools you need to accompany your child on their journey of learning beyond school and to hold an open, curious and joyful space within which the whole family can thrive. It's ideal if you have just started unschooling or are thinking that this might work for your family.
IN THE WORKSHOP:
The science of learning: self-determination theory and intrinsic motivation
How to hold a space in which our children can flourish and be their whole selves
Being our whole selves: what do we need in order to do this work?
Mindful practices to work with our triggers, using them as tools for transformation
Unraveling old beliefs and paradigms
Self compassion practices for challenging moments
WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR?
The Thriving Beyond School workshop is ideal for you if:
You are considering taking your child out of school and unsure about what self-directed education/unschooling can look like.
Your child is out of school and you are feeling challenged or stressed, and looking to understand more about how you can facilitate a healthy space for the whole family.
You are looking to create a low-demand environment for a child who has had a lot of anxiety or is PDA, and in which they can really thrive.
Also included: comprehensive notes of everything covered in the workshop, including practices to use in your daily life.

MINDFUL PARENTING COURSE
This six-week on-line programme is designed to help anyone looking to explore how introducing mindfulness practices to their life can transform their parenting and their relationship with their children. By cultivating awareness in your daily life, you will learn to interact with your child from a calm and connected place, allowing for greater understanding and compassion, reducing conflict in the home, and facilitating healthy and loving relationships.
Each session will include a theory component, some group discussion, a short meditation, and a mindfulness/self-compassion practice. It is very helpful if participants are able to carve out 20 minutes in their daily lives for deepening their mindfulness skills, through listening to the guided meditations that accompany the course.
I am a trained Mindfulness teacher with over 10 years of personal mindfulness practice. In this course, I bring together my teaching experience along with my own personal experience of parenting and, in particular, of parenting a PDA child. Mindfulness is wonderful for all parenting, but in cases where conflict is highly likely and often unpredictable, mindfulness can be transformational for the family.

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR
This course is ideal for you if:
You find yourself getting stressed and reactive with your children.
You feel frequently overwhelmed and critical of yourself.
You would like to reduce the amount of conflict in your home, and introduce more ease and understanding.
You would simply like to explore how to live a more connected and joyful life with your children.
After each session, you'll receive a recording of the session along with comprehensive notes of everything that was covered, including practices that you can put into action that same week in your home. You'll also have email support with me for any questions or challenges that arise between sessions.
Six weekly sessions of 90 minutes
