It's inevitable that, as we explore a new way to live with our children, we bump into all sorts of old patterns of thinking and conditioning. These can create a lot of stress and tension and easily become an obstacle to the ease and connection we'd like to enjoy with our children. Unless we are able to be with the uncomfortable feelings and work through them, we will tend to be either reactive with our children or be self-critical and give ourselves a hard time.
